Tele/Video genetic health appointments found to benefit people seeking genetic counselling

Fertility Genetics have always offered video and telephone appointments, for which demand increased during the Covid pandemic. 

 

Research from the National Society of Genetic Counselors has informed practice based guidelines for telehealth genetic counselling. The findings showed that remote delivery is not inferior, with large desirable and minor undesirable effects giving increased equity to patients where barriers exist to attend face to face appointments.
